All-time, Wichita is 42-38-8 against Missouri and 18-18-7 on the road in the series.TODAY - Wichita finishes a three-in-three today against the Missouri Mavericks in the Visit Wichita, Visit Independence Cup Series. Today is the back half of a home-and-home, which the two teams played last weekend with the Mavericks winning both games. The Mavericks won last night at INTRUST Bank Arena, 8-2 and claimed the season-series. Missouri remains on the outside looking in of the playoff picture, sitting three points back of Utah for the final playoff spot in the West. Wichita is five points back of Indy for sixth place in the Central Division. Dane Fox leads the Mavericks with 15 points (4g, 11a) against Wichita. Zach O'Brien leads the Thunder with 12 points (5g, 7a) in just six games against Missouri.TWO TIME - Ryan Rupert potted two goals on Friday night against the Oilers to lead Wichita to a 4-1 win. The London, Ontario native has 20 points (8g, 12a) in 24 games for the Thunder and recorded his second multi-goal outing of the season. WORKING OT - The Thunder played back-to-back overtime games last weekend and came out on the losing end in both contests. Wichita and Missouri have played four-straight games at Silverstein Eye Centers Arena past regulation with the Mavericks taking three of the four in overtime. Wichita is 3-5 in games decided in the extra period and have appeared in 10 games past regulation.CAREER HIGH - Louick Marcotte recorded his 16th goal of the season on Friday night. He needs one more to set a new career-high, which he set last year in Adirondack. He has already set a new career high in assists (19) and took over the team-lead in points (35).OB - Zach O'Brien scored back-to-back goals last night, giving him eight on the season. He has 23 points (8g, 15a) in 27 games and four points in his last two. HELPING HAND - James Melindy netted his first multi-point outing of the season on Saturday night. He recorded assists on both of Zach O'Brien's goals, giving him 16 points (3g, 13a) on the season. He also leads the team wtih 205 penalty minutes. THUNDERBOLTS... Vincent Arseneau is tied for fourth with five shorthanded points and tied for first with four shorthanded goals...Wichita is fifth in the league in shorthanded goals (12)...Wichita is fifth in the league in penalty minutes per game (17.96)...Wichita is ninth in the league in shots for per game (32.75)...Wichita is second to last in games past regulation (10)...Wichita is 13-2-2-1 when leading after two...Wichita is 8-12-1-0 when tied after one...Wichita is 8-14-4-0 when outshooting its opponent...MISSOURI NOTES - Dane Fox set a career-high in goals with 32, scoring twice last night and added two assists...Conner Bleackley has 12 points (5g, 7a) in 10 games... Kevin Tansey and Jesse Graham rejoined the Mavericks earlier this week...Radoslav Illo netted a goal and an assist last night...Rocco Carzo had a pair for Missouri, recording his 20th and 21st of the season...AROUND THE ECHL - There are seven other games today in the ECHL.
