Thunder Begins Homestand Today vs. Utah

Wichita, KS (Nov. 4th) - The Wichita Thunder, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Edmonton Oilers, AHL's Bakersfield Condors and powered by Toyota, begins a four-game homestand this afternoon starting at 4:05 p.m. against the Utah Grizzlies.

The Thunder are coming off a 2-1 overtime loss on Friday at Kansas City while the Grizzlies lost last night to the Mavericks in overtime, 5-4. Today is the first of three-straight meetings between Wichita and Utah this week. The Thunder hosts the Grizzlies on Wednesday morning for a Kids Day Game at 10:30 a.m. and closes the three-game mini-series on Friday night at 7:05 p.m. Today is also the first meeting of the season between the two. The Thunder have played just four games over the last two weeks. That will change as the calendar flips. Wichita plays four games in the next eight days and 11 games over the next 21 days in November. Caleb Herbert leads the Grizzlies with 15 points (8g, 7a) in eight games while Cole Ully has 11 (3g, 8a). Dyson Stevenson leads the Thunder with five points (4g, 1a) and Jakob Stukel has three points (2g, 1a). Individual tickets for all games are on sale now.
