Thunder Announces Preseason Game vs. Tulsa

Wichita, KS (August 30th) - The Wichita Thunder, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Edmonton Oilers, AHL's Bakersfield Condors and powered by Toyota, announced today that the team will be hosting an exhibition game against the Tulsa Oilers at 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 6th at the Wichita Ice Center.

Tickets for the game at just $12 and are on sale now only through the Thunder office. Due to mechanical issues at the Wichita Ice Center, the game will be played on the NHL rink with limited seating availability and a cap of 200 tickets.

Wichita and Tulsa have met 13 times in preseason play with the Thunder having the edge in the series, 8-4-1. The two teams met last season with the Oilers claiming a 5-2 win. Overall, Wichita is 21-21-3 in exhibition games and holds an all-time record of 16-6-3 at home. The Thunder have played seven-straight preseason games in the Air Capital.
