Thunder, Americans Round Two Tonight

Wichita, KS (Oct. 19th) - The Wichita Thunder, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Edmonton Oilers, AHL's Bakersfield Condors and powered by Toyota, hosts the Allen Americans tonight at 7:05 p.m. at INTRUST Bank Arena in the middle portion of a three-game mini-series.

The two teams played last Saturday night with the Americans claiming a 4-0 win. C.J. Motte shut down the Thunder offense with a 34-save shutout performance. PC Labrie led the Thunder with five shots on net. Both teams were unable to get much going on the power play, going a combined 0-for-10.

After tonight, the Thunder heads down to Texas to take on Allen tomorrow night for the Americans' home opener. Wichita begins a three-game road swing tomorrow with trips to Tulsa and Kansas City on the horizon.

Dante Salituro leads the Americans with three points in two games (1g, 2a). Five different Thunder players have registered a point through the first two games of the season.
