Thunder Adds Former Buffalo Sabres Draft Pick

Wichita, KS (Dec. 31st) - The Wichita Thunder, proud member of the ECHL and powered by Toyota, announced today that they have claimed forward Christian Isackson off of waivers and added him to the active roster.

Isackson, 23, appeared in 28 games this season for the Colorado Eagles and recorded five points (3g, 2a). The Pine City, Minnesota native was drafted by the Buffalo Sabres in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft (round 7, #203 overall). Prior to turning pro, the 6-foot-1, 189-pound rookie forward played four years at the University of Minnesota where he tallied 31 points (8g, 23a) in 109 career games. Isackson's best year was his sophomore campaign, where he finished with 20 points (4g, 16a) in 40 games.

Wichita plays its final game of 2015 tonight on the road at Missouri starting at 7:05 p.m.
