Slogan Contest Returns for Third-Straight Season

Wichita, KS (July 10th) - The Wichita Thunder, proud member of the ECHL and powered by Toyota, are excited to be bringing back the team's slogan contest for a third-consecutive year.

Beginning today and running through Friday, July 17th, fans will have a chance to submit an entry that could be used as the team's slogan for the 2015-16 campaign. The slogan is used in all advertising pieces and marketing materials during the season. One lucky fan that has his or her slogan chosen will win a 32-person suite to use at one game this season, two tickets to the Lady Antebellum concert on July 25th at INTRUST Bank Arena, a copy of the documentary, ‘Red Army', a Jon Volp signed NASCAR jersey, VIP Meet and Greet and a chance to drop the ceremonial face-off at a game this season.

All submissions need to be entered through the Thunder website for consideration. Click here to submit your entry. Submissions are due by 5 p.m. on July 17th. The slogan will then be unveiled at a later date. Each person must be 18 and only one entry per person will be considered for this contest.

Began in 1988-89 with five teams in four states, the ECHL has grown into a coast-to-coast league with 28 teams in 21 states and one Canadian province for its 28th season in 2015-16. There have been 569 players who have started their career in the ECHL have gone on to play in the National Hockey League, including 28 who made their NHL debuts in the 2014-15 season. The ECHL had affiliations with 29 of the 30 NHL teams in 2014-15, marking the 18th consecutive season that the league had affiliations with at least 20 teams in the NHL.
