EVENT: INTRUST BANK ARENA INSTALLS ICE TODAY IN PREPARATION FOR THE 25th ANNIVERSARY WICHITA THUNDER HOCKEY SEASON

WHEN: Monday, Oct. 3, 2016 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

WHERE: INTRUST Bank Arena, 500 East Waterman

DETAILS: In preparation for the 2016-2017 25th Anniversary Wichita Thunder ECHL hockey season, INTRUST Bank Arena operations staff will be building the hockey ice, painting the hockey lines and installing the in-ice logos. The best time for media to capture footage of lines being painted and logos being installed is between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. this afternoon, Monday, Oct. 3

The Thunder will remain in the Central Division of the Western Conference in the ECHL this year, but will see plenty of new faces. Joining the Thunder will be the Fort Wayne Komets, Indy Fuel, Kalamazoo Wings, Quad City Mallards, Toledo Walleye and Tulsa Oilers. Opening Night for the Wichita Thunder is Saturday, Oct. 15 when longtime rival Tulsa comes to town.
