Wichita is 3-2-0-0 vs. Tulsa this season

HEAD-TO-HEAD - This is the sixth meeting of the season between the Thunder and the Oilers. All-time, Wichita is 134-112-23 against Tulsa and 60-62-11 on the road in the series.

TODAY - Wichita finishes a back-to-back tonight against Tulsa in the StoneWolf Casino Cup. The Thunder and the Oilers are playing for the 270th time this evening. Wichita took the first two games of the season-series, but lost back-to-back contests against Tulsa on November 27th and 28th. The Thunder are nearing the end of their seven-game road trip and snapped a seven-game skid in last night's win. After tonight, Tulsa will head to Allen on Monday and follow that up with a trip to Wichita on Saturday, December 26th. Adam Pleskach has four assists in five games against the Thunder this season while Brady Ramsay leads the way with three goals. Danick Gauthier has five points in five games against the Oilers (3g, 2a)

OT WINNER - Danick Gauthier recorded his sixth goal of the season last night and third in the last two games against the Oilers. His overtime winner helped Wichita to its first win that was decided in the extra session. Wichita is 3-1 in games decided past regulation.

SNAPPED - Wichita's win last night snapped an 11-game road losing skid and also the team's seven-game losing streak. The Thunder's only other road win came on October 16th in a 3-2 victory at Tulsa on Opening Night.

BULLDOG BITES - Andy Huff scored a pair of goals last night, giving him his third multi-point outing of the season and his first game in which he found the back of the net twice. The Ferris State product pulled even with Peter Sakaris for the team-lead with 13 points (6g, 7a).

MILESTONE - Erick Lizon appeared in his 200th ECHL game last night. The 10-year pro out of Kitchener, Ontario ranks fourth all-time in Thunder history in majors (46), seventh in games played (235) and ninth in PIMs (566).

FIRST THINGS FIRST - Wichita's best period continues to be the first. The Thunder have scored 21 of their 48 goals in the opening frame. Wichita's shot total in the first is the lowest of any period (195).

THUNDERBOLTS...Danick Gauthier and Landon Oslanski lead the team in shots with 59...Oslanski has five points (1g, 4a) in six games since being acquired from Alaska...Wichita's penalty kill is ranked 18th on the road (80.3%) and 12th overall (82.9%)... Wichita is 5-0-0-1 when leading after two...Wichita is 3-5-0-0 when outshooting its opponent...Wichita is 5-5-0-1 in one goal games...

TULSA NOTES - Kevin Carr has started 11-straight games and is sixth in minutes played (951)...Dennis Brown leads the Oilers with 14 assists and is a +12...Jason Christie claimed his 493rd win last week, jumping ahead of ECHL Hall of Famer John Marks for the all-time lead for wins by a coach...Tulsa is the only team in the ECHL to not allow a shorthanded goal...
