HEAD TO HEAD - This is the second meeting of the season between the Thunder and the Rush. All-time, Wichita is 21-33-6 against Rapid City and 13-18-2 on the road in the series.

TODAY - Wichita plays in Rapid City for the final time this season. The Thunder came from behind last night over Rapid City by the final of 3-2. James Melindy scored the game-winner in overtime against his former team and Drew Owsley earned his third win of the year. The win helped the Thunder snap a five-game winless streak. Wichita moves into sixth place in the Central while Rapid City claimed a point and are tied with Missouri in fifth place in the Mountain with 18 points. Lindsay Sparks leads the Rush with 25 points (11g, 14a) while Ryan Walters is second with 23 (5g, 18a). Alexis Loiseau leads the Thunder with 22 points (14g, 8a) and Nathan Moon has 14 (5g, 9a).

STREAKING - Alexis Loiseau has been the Thunder's most consistent scorer through the first 16 games. He tied last night's game in the third period. Loiseau has six goals in his last five games and is second in the league with 14. The second-year forward equaled his career-high, tallying 14 goals last season in Norfolk.

MOONLIGHTING - Nathan Moon faced his former team for the first time this season. The Thunder acquired him in a trade with Rapid City for forward Triston Grant. In six games with the Thunder, he has recorded six points (3g, 3a) and is second on the team with 14.

EXTRA, EXTRA - After playing 14 games without needing overtime or a shootout to decide the outcome, the Thunder have played two-straight games past 60 minutes. Wichita lost in a shootout at Tulsa last Saturday night by the final of 2-1, but won last night in overtime 3-2. The Thunder are 1-0 in games decided in the overtime session and 0-1 in the shootout.

SPECIAL - Wichita's special teams have been a strength to this point in the season. The Thunder ranks first on the power play, operating at 25% and second on the penalty kill at 91.4%. Rapid City comes in with the number one ranked penalty kill, allowing just four goals on 51 chances (92.2%). Last night, there were only four combined power plays as the Thunder went 0-for-1 while Rapid City went 0-for-3.

RAPID CITY NOTES - Lindsay Sparks is fifth in the league in scoring (25) and tied for fifth in goals scored (11)...Ryan Walters is fourth in the league in assists (18)...Brendan Walker and Lindsay Sparks are tied for fifth in power play goals (3)...Adam Morrison is tied for first in goals-against average (1.80) and first in save percentage (.950)...Rapid City has points in eight-straight games and have gone past 60 minutes in four-straight games...

AROUND THE ECHL - There is 10 other games today in the ECHL. Kalamazoo takes on Manchester. Colorado remains in Adirondack. Orlando is at Florida. South Carolina visits Greenville. Utah is in Wheeling. Norfolk hosts Reading. Quad City heads to Toledo. Missouri travels to Cincinnati. Tulsa remains in Allen. Alaska takes on Idaho.
