All-time, Wichita is 18-28-6 against Allen and 9-13-5 at home in the series. TODAY - Wichia heads to Allen to close out a three-in-three against the Americans. Last night, Allen scored two-third period goals and skated away with a 3-1 victory over the Thunder. The Americans have taken the first two games during the weekend, winning on Friday night in overtime. Allen gained ground on Missouri, who lost last night at home against Tulsa. Wichita is 14 points back of the Oilers for third place in the Central while the Americans are 15 shy of the Mavericks for first place. Chad Costello leads Allen with 13 points (4g, 9a) against the Thunder. David Makowski has seven points in the season-series (2g, 5a). Christian Isackson leads the way for Wichita with five points (2g, 3a). 60 - Both teams played in three-straight games that were decided past 60 minutes before last night's outcome. Wichita lost a pair of overtime games at Utah and then dropped another in OT on Friday night against Allen. The Americans lost in a shootout a week ago, lost in overtime on Monday and then won Friday's meeting against Wichita. Since December 18th, Wichita has played a ton of games lately past regulation, appearing in nine of its last 17 contests that needed either overtime or a shootout. Wichita is 7-6-4-4 in one-goal games this season, tied for third in the league.BACK ON TRACK - The Thunder power play found the back of the net last night, going 1-for-5 on the man advantage. After finding the back of the net on the power play in six-straight, Wichita had failed to score with the extra man in its last two games. Last night's goal by Ian Lowe was also the first power marker of the season for the Thunder against the Americans. THREE-IN-THREE - Wichita and Allen close out a three-in-three this afternoon at the AEC. Allen has taken the first two games on the weekend. The two teams will play one more three-in-three this season towards the end of February.
