HEAD TO HEAD - This is the seventh of 14 meetings between the Thunder and the Oilers. Wichita is 1-2-1-3 this season vs. Tulsa. All-time, Wichita is 130-105-22 and 57-60-11 on the road against the Oilers.

TODAY - Wichita heads to Tulsa for the sixth time this season to take on their long-time rivals in the StoneWolf Casino Cup Series. Tulsa won last Wednesday by the final of 7-4. After tonight, Wichita will not see the Oilers until late February. Tulsa is coming off a 4-1 loss to Quad City while the Thunder won 5-0 at home this past Saturday against Rapid City. Drew Fisher has seven points against the Thunder this season to lead the way for Tulsa. Ian Lowe has three goals and four assists to pace the Thunder against the Oilers.

HUMP DAY - Wichita and Tulsa will play their second-straight contest on a Wednesday as the two teams met a week ago. The Thunder and Oilers will play one more game on a Wednesday night, which is April 8th at INTRUST Bank Arena. After tonight, Wichita will not see the Oilers until February 21st, which will be the first meeting between the two on a Friday or Saturday this year.

LAMPLIGHTERS - Mike Wilson scored his first of the season last Wednesday and followed that up with a tally on Saturday night against Rapid City. Eric Meland recorded his first of the year with a rebound goal in the first. He finished with three points to lead the Thunder in scoring against the Rush.

SHUT DOWN - Tim Boron and Tyler Bunz have two shutouts each this season. Boron collected his second in a Thunder uniform on Saturday night. Both Thunder netminders are tied for first place in the league with two shutouts, along with four other goalies.

TAKING ADVANTAGE - The Thunder power play has recorded a goal in each of the last four games, including two of those outings where Wichita was able to find the back of the net twice. Over that span, Wichita is 6-for-24, good for a 25% clip. The Thunder also had a season-high nine power plays on Saturday night.

CALL UP - Tyler Bunz was called up today to the Oklahoma City Barons of the American Hockey League. He will join the team in Charlotte on their current road trip. This is the second time he has been brought back to the Edmonton Oilers AHL affiliate. He was reassigned right before the start of the season to the Barons.

TULSA NOTES - Kevin Carr is 6-1-0-0 against the Thunder with a GAA of 2.11 and save percentage of .930...Adam Pleskach and Jon Booras have four goals each against Wichita this season...Pleskach is third in the league in goals with 15...Tulsa is fifth in the league in goals for (3.60) and 25th in goals against (3.68)...The Oilers are 26th in shots against per game (34.60)...Tulsa is 9-1-0-0 when leading after the first period and 1-5-0-0 when trailing after the first.
