HEAD TO HEAD - This is the second of seven meetings between the Thunder and the Beast. All-time, Wichita is 3-4-0 against Brampton and 2-2-0 at the Powerade Centre.

TODAY - Wichita and Brampton finish up their two-game series this afternoon at the Powerade Center. The Beast won the first meeting of the season last night by the final of 4-1. Wichita outshot Brampton 46-28, but only got one past Trevor Cann who was also named the #1 Star. Kyle Gibbons scored the lone Thunder goal of the night, which cut the lead to 2-1 in the second period. Former Thunder forward Chad Painchaud finished with three points (1g, 2a) while Miller and Duval each recorded assists last night.

FIRSTS - Kyle Gibbons scored the only goal for the Thunder last night, which was also his first as a pro. The Canisius College grad started the season with the Indy Fuel before signing earlier this week. The Westlake, OH native posted 38 points in 41 games last season as a senior.

STREAKS - Kenton Miller and Ian Duval recorded assists last night to extend point-scoring streaks. Miller and Duval each have points over the last four games. Miller has four points (1g, 3a) over that span while Duval has four assists in four games.

SHOOTING GALLERY - Wichita had all kinds of chances last night, but could only muster one goal past Trevor Cann. The Thunder unloaded 46 shots on net and had a 18-2 edge with less than three minutes left in the second period alone. Last night's barrage was not the most shots for in a game this season, however. The most shtos that Wichita has put on an opposing netminder was November 18th at Tulsa, which was 49. The Thunder are 13th in the league in putting pucks on net (31.21) and first overall in shots against (25.37)

THUNDERBOLTS… Kenton Miller and Danick Gauthier are tied for fifth place in power play goals (4)...Since November 16th, the Thunder penalty kill has given up two power play goal, killing off 30 of 32 chances for the opponent…Wichita is first in the league in shots against per game (25.37)...Wichita is 2-1-0-1 when leading after one...Wichita is 4-2-0-0 when tied after one…Wichita is 3-3-1-1 when tied after two periods…Wichita is 6-5-0-2 when outshooting the opponent…Wichita is 5-1-0-0 in two-goal games...
