HEAD TO HEAD - This is the first of 12 meetings between the Thunder and the Mallards. Wichita is 7-3-0 at home against Quad City all-time and 13-3-3 overall. JUST SHORT - Wichita and Tulsa went back and forth on Sunday afternoon at the BOK Center. The Thunder scored first on a tally from Theo Peckham. Tulsa answered when Kyle O'Kane tied it with less than a minute to go in the first. Kurtis Bartliff gave the Thunder their second lead of the game in the second. Jon Booras scored the next two and helped the Oilers secure a 3-2 win. It was the first game between the two teams that finished in regulation at the BOK Center.

SHOTS, SHOTS, SHOTS - Wichita started out the season trying to find scoring chances. The Thunder averaged 23.33 shots per game in the first three contests. Over the last eight games, Wichita has eclipsed 30 or more shots and is averaging 35.38 shots per game over that stretch. The Thunder unloaded 26 shots in the second period and 49 shots against the Oilers on Tuesday, which are new season highs.

MIDDLE MEN - Wichita has come out strong in the second period over the last few games. Last week, the Thunder averaged 18 shots on goal during the second, including 26 against Tulsa on Tuesday. Six of Wichita's 11 goals last week occurred in the middle period.

MILESTONES - Several players are approaching milestones. Mike Wilson is nearing 200 points and 400 career games. Nikita Kashirsky is approaching 100 goals for his career and 300 games. RG Flath is 12 points shy of 300 for his career. Todd Hosmer needs one point to reach 100. Theo Peckham is close to 1,000 PIM and 400 games. Kenton Miller is 18 points shy of 100 for his career.

CENTRALIZED - The Mallards have endured just one regulation loss in their first 12 games (7-1-4) against the Central Division. They are unbeaten in regulation (7-0-4) in 11 games against Central foes since dropping their October 24 opener to Rapid City 3-0.

DUCK SEASON - Wichita only saw the Mallards three times last year, winning back-to-back games in January and losing 4-1 on February 22nd. The two teams will meet 12 times this go-around, five at INTRUST Bank Arena and seven times at the I-Wireless Center. Wichita hosts Quad City the first three and the Thunder travel to Moline, IL for the following three in the beginning of January.

QUAD CITY NOTES - The Mallards are unbeaten in regulation on the road (3-0-2-2)…Five of the last seven games and each of the last four road contests for Quad City has been decided past regulation…Mario Lamoureux has 15 points in 10 games in November and at least two points in six of the 10 contests…Kevin Baker has recorded 11 points in his last 10 games…Evan Mosher is unbeaten in regulation in November with a goals against average of 2.55 and .933 save percentage this month…Quad City has been outshot the last two games, but is second in the league in shots for per game (34.71)…

AROUND THE ECHL - There are seven other games in the ECHL tonight. Greenville heads to Wheeling. Elmira plays at Reading. Evansville is in Cincinnati. Allen plays at Missouri. Brampton goes to Rapid City. Ontario travels to Colorado. Bakersfield goes to Stockton.
