Wichita, KS (March 2nd) - The Wichita Thunder, ECHL affiliate of the Ottawa Senators and powered by Toyota, announced today that forward Gabriel Gagne has been reassigned by the Senators from the American Hockey League's Binghamton Senators.
Gagne, 20, returns to the Thunder for the first time since January 4th when he recorded his first two-goal performance of his pro career. The former second round pick of the Senators (#36 overall) has nine points (5g, 4a) in 15 games with the Thunder.
The 6-foot-5, 196-pound forward from Laval, Quebec played three full seasons in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League with Victoriaville and Shawinigan. His best season came during the 2014-15 campaign when he piled up 59 points (35g, 24a) in 67 games and added three points during the postseason (2g, 1a). Overall, he compiled 132 points (68g, 64a) in 177 career games.
In a separate transaction, forward Brad Cuzner has been released.
The Thunder returns home for a pair of games against Tulsa starting Friday at 7:05 p.m.
