Ewanyk Returns from Chicago

Wichita, KS (Oct. 4th) - The Wichita Thunder, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Edmonton Oilers, AHL's Bakersfield Condors and powered by Toyota, announced today that forward Travis Ewanyk has been added to the training camp roster. Forward Dave Williams and defenseman Vytal Cote have been released from their tryout agreements. Ewanyk, 24, attended camp with the American Hockey League's Chicago Wolves. The former third round pick (#74 overall) of the Edmonton Oilers in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft split last season between Idaho and Fort Wayne. He registered 20 goals and 47 points in 74 games between the Steelheads and Komets. A native of St. Albert, Alberta, the 6-foot-1, 201-pound forward enters his fifth season as a pro. The 26th season of Thunder hockey kicks off on Friday, October 13th against the Indy Fuel.
