Cote Added From SPHL's RiverKings

Wichita, KS (Nov. 2nd) - The Wichita Thunder, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Edmonton Oilers, AHL's Bakersfield Condors and powered by Toyota, announced two transactions today. Defenseman Vytal Cote has been signed to a contract while defenseman Samuel Thibault has been placed on bereavement leave.

Cote, 21, was in training camp with the Thunder before signing with the SPHL's Mississippi RiverKings. A native of Hollywood, Florida, the 6-foot-2, 201-pound blueliner played last season with the Fayetteville FireAntz and Evansville Thunderbolts. In 50 games between both teams, he registered two goals and 11 points while also adding 63 penalty minutes.

The Thunder plays two of the next three at home starting on Friday night against the Allen Americans.
