Wichita, KS (Oct. 18th) - The Wichita Thunder, ECHL affiliate of the Ottawa Senators and powered by Toyota, announced today that defenseman Chris Rumble has been assigned by the American Hockey League's Binghamton Senators. The team also announced that forward Triston Grant has been moved from the immigration pending list and placed on reserve. Rumble, 26, is in his second full season as a pro after debuting with the Evansville IceMen for the final eight games of the 2014-15 season. A native of Chesapeake, Virginia, the 6-foot-1, 200-pound blueliner appeared in 64 games last year for the IceMen, collecting 39 points (11g, 28a). He was signed to a deal with the Senators in the offseason. Prior to turning pro, Rumble played four seasons at Canisius College, recording 46 points (14g, 32a) in 84 career games.
The Thunder remains home this coming Friday night when the Missouri Mavericks come to town for the first time this season, starting at 7:05 p.m. The first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive a special 25th Anniversary Poster Schedule, presented by EMC Insurance, Kansas 811, 360 Wichita and Willowbend Golf Club.
