The second annual local celebrity hot dog eating contest was held before the Thunder game on Saturday. Wichita State student Nick Bohanon was crowned champion after eating 8 hot dogs in 8 minutes.
Former Thunder player and defending champ Sean O'Reilly couldn't keep up with Bohanon, who has a history of competitive eating. Wichita Wingnuts General Manager Josh Robertson finished a close second by devouring 7 1/2 hot dogs. Robertson popped a button during dog number 6 and never recovered.
Other participants included Wingnuts GM of Corporate Sales Bob Flanagan, 93.1 FM's Bob Walker, and T-95's Matty High Five.
